about 3 years ago – Wed, Mar 03, 2021 at 01:44:26 PM

Thanks to everyone for backing the project. We are heading into the final three days! One Stretch Goal is unlocked and the others are in sight. The project is around 119% funded and we have 1000 people signed up for the key 48 hour alert.

Last week we decided to add three extra monsters for the final week. A few days ago we shared the Jackalops, today we have another. We'll reveal the third tomorrow.

Last week several backers joined us for Monster Battle I, an online tournament with 8 creatures from our 5E Monster Series. We had players from New York, Toronto, Michigan, and Vancouver. Here's the video of the action. Thanks to Pat for running the technical side of things and Loke Battle Mats for maps. Congrats to Tim and the Skeleton Warrior for winning the battle!

We'll have Monster Battle II this Wednesday.

Recommended Project

Hexbound is a witchy supplement for 5th Edition. It gives both players and game masters all the necessary tools to add the magic of witchcraft and witches into their games.

The book offers content for both players and GMs alike, with new witch subclasses, spells, familiars, and backgrounds as well as ready-to-run, fully illustrated adventures, magical items, new creatures, and more!

It also offers a companion app that uses AR technology to animate the illustrations on the very pages of the book, and allows you to roll for everything by simply tapping on your screen!

Almost 85% funded with about two weeks left!
about 3 years ago – Fri, Feb 26, 2021 at 09:01:55 PM

Happy Friday everyone! Thanks for backing the project. We're in really good shape going into the last half of the funding period.

How wild will these monsters get?!

Good question, we will focus on making stranger, wilder creatures for this book. Oswald's curse has twisted some monsters into even worse forms, created undead horrors, and let peculiar creatures enter the world from other planes. We're playing with the damage done by the evil wizard or mad scientist archetype.

More than half of the monsters are large size or bigger at this point. At the same time, we want to have depth to the different regions. For example, the ozlogs and armored polar bears in the Arctic are there as food for the larger monsters and mounts for humanoids. We'll add another bizarre creature and showcase it next week. Most of the book will be monstrosities, undead, aberrations, fiends, and fey. We'll round out the collection with some dragons, giants, elementals, lycanthropes, humanoids, and beasts.
